Brazilian legend Vitor Belfort is expected to face former middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, at UFC Fight Night 127 in London.
Belfort was supposed to face exciting Middleweight, Uriah Hall in the UFC’s co-main event in St. Louis this weekend, though Hall suffered with weight-cutting difficulties in the build up to the event, and was later pulled from the card. Many believed the match up was going to be Belfort’s retirement fight.
Bisping (30-9) is now coming off the back of two straight losses, after losing the 185-pound title to Georges St-Pierre in November- then only weeks later, suffering a first round knockout at the hands of a Kevin Gastelum.
Prior to any announcement of his involvement in the London event, Bisping confirmed he would like to have his last fight on that card. Bisping vs. Belfort II would serve as the pairs second meeting, after Belfort stopped Bisping with strikes back in 2013.
UFC Fight Night 127 takes place at London’s O2 Arena in March.
